Meet our Admin Team

I am thrilled and honored to introduce myself as the principal of Occoquan Elementary School.

The 2026–27 academic year marks my 27th year in education, and I am proud to have dedicated my entire career to serving students and families in Prince William County Public Schools. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles, including special education teacher, mathematics teacher, assistant principal, and principal. I have proudly served as a principal for the past 17 years, and each experience has strengthened my commitment to ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality education and the support needed to reach their full potential.

As principal of Occoquan Elementary School, I am deeply committed to academic excellence and creating a school culture where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported. I look forward to working alongside our outstanding staff to foster a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment where student-centered learning, innovation, and high expectations are at the forefront of everything we do.

I strongly believe that successful schools are built upon strong partnerships among families, staff, and the community. I am passionate about family and community engagement and look forward to building meaningful relationships that positively impact student learning and well-being. Through open communication, collaboration, and trust, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

A little about me personally: Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially on the lacrosse field supporting their activities. I also enjoy staying connected to our local community by officiating high school sports throughout the area. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and building positive relationships both on and off the field.

My door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas. I am excited to continue working alongside our students, staff, families, and community as we build upon the great traditions of Occoquan Elementary School and create new opportunities for success.

I am excited to begin my first year as assistant principal at Occoquan Elementary School! While this is a new role for me, it is my fifth year at Occoquan, and I feel incredibly fortunate to continue serving a school community that has become home. This school year also marks my 14th year with Prince William County Public Schools.

Before becoming an administrator, I taught both general education and special education. Those experiences helped shape my belief that every student deserves to feel supported, challenged, and celebrated. I love working alongside teachers, students, and families to help every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

One of my favorite parts of being at Occoquan is building relationships with our students and families. I believe that when schools and families work together, great things happen, and I look forward to partnering with you throughout the year.

Outside of school, you'll usually find me working on a creative project or spending time with my husband, our two dogs, our cat, and my nieces and nephew. I enjoy making memories with the people (and pets!) I love most.

I am looking forward to another great year at Occoquan and can't wait to see all that our students accomplish. Please don't hesitate to say hello or reach out—I look forward to getting to know you!

As a lifelong learner and enthusiastic educator, I am committed to promoting a positive school culture where every student can thrive. I am honored to serve the Occoquan Elementary School community as the Administrative Intern for the 2026–2027 school year. This year marks an exciting milestone in my educational journey as I continue to grow as a school leader while supporting the students, staff, and families of Occoquan Elementary.

 I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching and earned my Educational Leadership Certificate through the College of William & Mary. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting diverse learners and collaborating with outstanding educators who inspire me every day. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every student deserves a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where they feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

 My leadership is grounded in the philosophy of servant leadership. The most effective leaders serve first by listening with empathy, building meaningful relationships, empowering others, and creating opportunities for every student, staff member, and family to flourish. Strong partnerships built on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect are the foundation of a thriving school community. 

As an Administrative Intern, I look forward to collaborating with our exceptional staff to support academic excellence, student well-being, and a positive school culture.

Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, participating in leadership and community initiatives, and spending time with family and friends. I believe in the power of lifelong learning and continually seek opportunities to gain experience both personally and professionally.
