HPV--The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that girls and boys 11-12 years old receive the HPV vaccine. Please refer to the following website for additional information: VA Department of Health School Requirements.

Emergency Cards--Parents and guardians please make sure the school has up-to-date contact information for all persons listed on the emergency card. This is crucial when trying to contact parents and/or emergency contacts regarding illness and/or injury at school.

Hearing and Vision Screening--Kindergarten and third grade students have their vision and hearing screened during the first months of the school year. You will be notified only if there is a problem with the results of either screening. School nurses may also check vision and hearing when requested by educators, parents, or students. If you have updated information about the vision or hearing of your student from your health care provider, please call the school nurse or send a copy of the report. Parents may also exclude students from a specific screening with a written notification to the school nurse. If your child wears glasses, please ensure they wear them.

Scoliosis Screening--Parents remember to have your child screened for scoliosis by your physician regularly.
